"Lady" added 2/28/2011 ADOPTED 3/13/2011

Lady is a spayed female Border Collie, 3- to 4-year-old whose current owner describes her as "sooooo friendly, She LOVES kids, and gets along great with other animals. She knows how to shake and is SEMI housebroken. She used to do great, but then she started going in [son's] room and we can't get her to stop." She isn't fenced or chained but does not leave the yard. She does fine in the car and does not bark. She also is not a chewer. Lady needs somewhere where she can be outside in a yard.

Lady's owners were informed by their landlord that they cannot keep Lady outside in the yard. Due to the housebreaking issue, they feel it best to find Lady a new home. Perhaps some crate training would cure the toileting in the house habit.

Lady was adopted through coordination with Help For Homeless Pets in Billings.

"Chance" added 3/4/2011 Adopted 3/8/2011

Chance was found on Billingsley Road outside Glasgow on 3/3/2011 and is believed to possibly have been dumped. He arrived on our farm today. He appears to be a German Shepherd/Border Collie mix.

Chance is young, perhaps 14 weeks? He is quiet and sweet natured. He seems to do well with other dogs. He is not housebroke but is beginning crate training today. He did pretty well walking on a leash. He is curious and quiet. He also rides well in cars and really likes children.

If you recognize Chance or would like to inquire about adopting him, please call Angie at 263-4511.

"Josie" added 2/23/2011 Adopted 3/4/2011

Here is a very pretty little girl who was rescued in Scobey. She was dumped and found nearly frozen! She is black with white markings and is described as a total sweetheart! She is believed to be a malamute/lab and estimated to be about 10 to 14 weeks old and is already learning to sit and also to "wait" for her food. Josie is almost housebroken.

Josie has not been crated yet but is good with other dogs. She's still learning about the evils of cats.

Update: 3/2/2011 Josie is in Billings at Help For Homeless Pets. If you would like to inquire about her, you can reach them at:

"Aero" added 2/20/11 ADOPTED 2/21/11

Her name is "Aero" but she doesn't seem to know it yet. I think she is a Chesapeake Bay Retreiver X. She is a beautiful chocolate color with light yellow/brown eyes. She is a bit timid. She is left outside during the day. There is no fence but she doesn't leave the porch. She is brought in at night and crated. Sometimes she whines a little but for the most part she just goes to sleep. They got her around Thanksgiving when she was 7-weeks-old. She does not have any shots. She also is not spayed. She does fairly well in a car. She hasn't had any accidents in the house since being crated, but then again she isn't let in during the day. She is in the chewing phase.

She has sad eyes. I think this little girl just needs someone to love her and build up her confidence. And some basic obedience training. My heart broke for her a bit. They canceled the appointment to have her euthanized so hopefully someone will fall in love with her before they change their mind. Thankfully they will call me before they take her in to be put down. Interested parties can contact me by email at soperfamilyfarm@live.com or by cell at 406-263-4511. I think she will be a very sweet dog.

Update: 2/26/2011 Spoke with Aero's new family. Aero is doing wonderful! They absolutely adore her and said she has definitely found her forever home!
